Can my landscaping affect my property value?

Trees.com conducted a survey from 1,250 licensed U.S. real estate agents and found that 78% of agents say poor landscaping and hardscaping negatively affects property values. They also found that 59% of real estate agents say trees are the landscaping element that adds the most value to a home, adding one healthy tree can allegedly increase property values by 30%+.

Much of these findings have to do with that by having a neglected lawn, it changes buyer’s perspective of the entire home. When a home has little curb appeal or a landscape that is not well maintained, they immediately get the impression that the entire house has also not been well maintained. When having neat, clean lawns buyers’ minds are put at ease.
